I love this tournament but, the terminology is killing me!

If I hear the words swagger or moxie one more time, I think I’ll scream. How about a little class and quiet determination instead of this fist pumping, chest pounding crap.
Additionally, if I read another useless and asinine article written by Jeff Jacobs, in the Hartford Courant, I should have my head examined. It’s already the last column I read each morning and because I know it’s going to stink. Furthermore, when I do read it, I’m sure it’s only because I can’t help but be amazed at what a jerk this guy has become. JIMBO, you have every right to ignore and even hate this man. He is the worse sports writer in the country, his column is garbage and the Courant needs to quickly replace him with someone who knows something about sports. His human interest themes are not interesting and he can’t get anyone at UCONN to even give him the time of day. His arrogance is obvious and people simply don’t like it.
As for today’s game against Texas AM, the line is 10 and that is too much. Texas AM does match up well with us and, although I think we will win the game, their are three very good reasons I think we won’t cover the double digit spread.
Stanley Robinson is guarding Josh Carter and that smells like trouble. Carter, who can shoot from outside, as well as slash and dash to the hoop. That said, he is going to score. Also, there is a good chance he could get Stanley in foul trouble or even worse, get Thabeet in foul trouble when he’s trying to help Robinson with his defensive assignment.
The second reason I don’t like UCONN to cover is the foul shooting which continues to stink.
My third and final reason is the continued poor shooting by Austrie and Walker. Again, it’s a shame Harelson wasn’t brought along sooner and because we desperately need some serious help from three point range. Hey, did you see the energy D. Beverly showed at the end of that last game? He actually looked like he belonged. If nothing else, maybe Calhoun should consider giving him some minutes and a chance to prove himself in today’s game.
Enjoy this game and let’s hope we get a chance to see Memphis and Calipari some day real soon.
I’m out of here!
