I was about ready to say this Saturday’s game against the South Florida Bulls might be closer than the bookies expect but, when I looked at the paper this morning and saw how easily Georgetown roped these, must be baby, Bulls (65 to 40) I immediately stopped worrying about how Hasheem and company might react, after being physically beaten up by DeJuan Blair, Sam Young and the Pittsburgh Panthers. Nonetheless, “JIMBO” Calhoun has got his work cut out for him in this next Big East match up. I say that because, what this squad needs next, is a big challenge and chance to immediately right the ship. That comes next Wednesday, at Marquette and I’m really eager to see that one.On another note, why did Stanley Robinson even attempt those two 3 pointers against Pitt? I’m serious when I say that he should stick to alley oops, dunks or put backs and because his shooting is horrendous. Too bad Austrie failed to contribute much and because that makes the loss of Dyson even bigger or obvious. I know I’ve said this before yet, after Monday’s game, I have to once again suggest that Jeff Adrien and whoever else is down low has got to start setting some inside picks for Thabeet and especially when he has a monster like Blair covering him. Let’s face it, going head to head with him was a losing proposition. Husky fans, I’m afraid that, when Thabeet gets in foul trouble, this team quickly shows that they are average at best.  Besides Pittsburgh, another thing that really scares me and come NCAA tournament time is the fact that refs from other conferences will surely call more fouls than those from the Big East. That spells trouble for the big boy and therefore, our teams chances of winning another National Championship. On another note and because two people from out of state who watched the last game brought it up, how did “JIMBO” Calhoun keep from getting a technical called against him Monday night. His ranting and raving at the refs was constant, as well as annoying to watch and to the extent I think they got even by fouling Thabeet out.  SIT DOWN JIMBO and maybe you’ll remember to put Price back in the game at crunch time.
